Stones Cheating Scandal Settled, But The Hunt for Data Continues

New Online PokerPoker News

A year later and the dust has settled around the Mike Postle cheating allegations with a $30M lawsuit that has been settled with a number of clients.

The payments details are not allowed to be disclosed but they have been described by Stones Casino as nominal and being made to show good will.

“After reviewing evidence with the cooperation of Stones, my co-counsel and I have found no evidence supporting the plaintiffs’ claims against Stones, Stones Live Poker, or Justin Kuraitis,” the statement says. “My co-counsel and I have found no forensic evidence that there was cheating at Stones or that Stones, Mr. Kuraitis, the Stones Live team, or any dealers were involved in any cheating scheme.

“Based on our investigation, we are satisfied that Stones and Mr. Kuraitis were not involved in any cheating that may have occurred. While Stones has not spoken publicly regarding the details of their investigation during its pendency, its counsel and Mr. Kuraitis’ counsel have been immensely cooperative behind-the-scenes.”

Solve For Why Taking Action

Matt Berkey who is part of the Solve For Why community is now collating data from all the shows so that they can be reviewed in a hand history type format. This will make getting the exact stats on these games much easier.

The main reason this is happening is in an attempt to disprove Kuraitis’ claims that all the Poker community is randomly against Mike Postle and exaggerating his winrate.

Justin Kuraitis Twitter Rants

Claiming no foul play, Justin jumped straight back to throw some muck at all the people that had called him out during the time of the investigation. On a rampage of tweets, he is also claiming he wants $20,000 per hour for an interview and the only podcast he will consider doing is Joey Ingrams.

So he now wants people to pay him, to attempt to clear his name… he also stated he wants payment in cash, the meet up must be face to face in Sacramento and he gets to ask one question for every question he answers.

Classy Sum Up

Justin Kuraitis leaves the conversation after having many poker players berate his arguments with this statement:

“I want to be clear that my statements towards poker twitter ARE NOT intended as an apology.

I don’t care what you think of me.

Your comments amuse me.

You guys inflated stats by six figures, cherry pick a few 100 hands out of 8,000 & cast conviction based on commentary”

Phil Galfond Chimes In

He wants to look for anomilies in the numbers that include finding stats on the strange parts of Postle’s game that just don’t seem right.
