Why should we limp in 6Plus Hold’em?
When we limp a balanced range of holdings in short deck poker, this allows us to be unpredictable, meaning just because we have limped we may have AA, KK, QQ or just 8 7, 9 10, J 9 for example.
This allows us to get to flops cheaply in the long run with some holdings, as we will have many check raises in our range. For example, if our opponents always raise us with AJo and AQo and we are including AK, JJ, QQ, KK and AA in our limp reraising hands, they are always going to be seriously behind in the long run when they put in further action to our limp raises.

Merging hands for value and bluff purposes
These are spots you will find yourself in a good deal of the time in 6plus hold’em games, you have a pretty good hand, but you are beaten by many other holdings but you want to protect against weaker hands and draws, but don’t want to bloat a pot if you are beaten.
With holdings like this, you can basically go one of two ways to maximise your wins. There is little point in betting small with these medium strength holdings, as you will allow your opponents to play nearly perfectly, call when getting the right price or even check-raise bluff you off your hand. Quads on the River and getting paid Huge!

We are dealt 8♥ 8♠ on the button with $73.04 in our stack. Hands like this are not worth raising with, as you are simply looking to take as many flops as possible with small pairs in 6Plus games. As the two other players just limp in we check behind and take a flop.

Royal flush and Straight flush at the same time!
We pick up the action playing two tables of 25NL 6Plus Hold’em on PokerStars.
We are dealt 6♦ 10♦ in late position, this is going to be pretty much the bottom of our range, even for entering limped pots, the main thing this hand has going for it is the fact it is suited and flushes are very valuable in 6Plus hold’em as they outrank even full houses and quite often if you make a flush vs another good hand you will not get credit for having a flush as they are so unlikely.

The secret to calling Bluffs and making $$$
The hand starts with blinds at $0.10/$0.25 in a 25 NL Zoom game, Our opponent opens the button to $0.53, so a little over a minimum raise, he has $25.12 remaining in his stack for us to win. We are in the Big Blind with 5♠ 3♠ and $0.25 already invested in the pot and elect to call, getting a very good price having to call $0.28 into a pot of $1.16 having a suited one gaper that can flop well in a deep stacked pot.

Probably the most exciting poker game in recent times, Short Deck hold’em otherwise known as ‘6+ Hold’em’ is a Poker game similar to Texas Hold’em where the game is constructed in the usual No Limit hold’em fashion with the same preflop, flop, turn and river action is permitted with betting on all streets and the usual community cards are dealt and it’s still a No limit game, so players can wager all of their chips at any time.
