GGPoker is seeing some huge action right now and a player that was once told his business was not wanted any longer from Natural8, apparently due to some previous predatory behaviour, which is essentially bum hunting, meaning you follow poor players around and try and specifically target them rather than just playing in random games and trying to beat the field as a whole
A little history on this point in general, this is something that good poker players would always do in times past, the idea of playing poker is to play in good games where you are against weaker players. So if you see someone that is terrible and giving away money, then you see them on another table, clearly you will want to play with them, because you have a huge edge and stand to make money.
Well, this is something that the Poker sites don’t like, bad players will lose their money too quickly, meaning the site gets paid less money in rake, which is obviously there biggest interest. So what Poker sites have been doing is hiding screen names like in the case of RunItOnce poker, maximising the number of tables that can be played, meaning grinders have to take their action to Fast-Fold alternatives to be able to play a good amount of hands and in the case of Natural8, simply banning players that are too good!
Joey Ingram to the Rescue again
This player now decides to sign up for GGPoker, which is another skin that uses the same software that Natural8 uses where this player was banned from initially.
He passed the verification process and deposited $50,000… then lost a chunk of money, won it back and eventually got up to $180,000. With a new change in the high stakes games, players now have to go through another verification process and now display their real names whilst at the tables. This was brought about due to streams of WSOP events wanting to highlight the names of the pros rather than constantly calling them by their online aliases.
Following the procedure his account has been banned and funds confiscated. This is NOT a scheme to steal from players. The money has been distributed between the players he won from. Given the long timeframe that passed detecting it they decided to refund him his 50k deposit.

It seems that Fedor is fully aware he is putting his neck on the line here, we’ve seen things like this before when the people champions start becoming puppets for the Poker Machine that can just swallow up hard-working players money with their huge list of Terms and Conditions we all have to agree to when using their sites.
I understand there’s a lot of hate coming my way for my latest post about duddi. I’m trying my best to gather as much info as I can and share GGs perspective on it as well to create more transparency. I find myself in a difficult position, but I’ll do my best.

GGPoker is definitely a great poker site, their software is amazing and they are well trusted with partners like WSOP. However they need to be more transparent in their approach to things like this, you can’t simply ban players for being good and once they are banned you can’t then allow them to sign back up, let them play and then take their winnings!
Let’s see if there is any kind of developments from the team, we need some answers with this one.
