The most recent history of Full Tilt Poker begins with being acquired by the Stars Group in August 2012 and was relaunched in the following November. Since 2016 Full Tilt joined the Pokerstars online platform, so they now combine player pools over the two sites. Currently, if you have a PokerStars account, you can simply download the Full Tilt software and play with this skin and vice versa.
The software has a very unique and clean look to it, you can customise everything about the view including the front and back of the cards, table colour, background colour. I have to say I do really like the look of this software, the players are clearly laid out around the table and it’s very easy to view all the action. There are other options you may want to use if playing many tables, such as being able to turn off the avatars to make the view more simplified.
Players can choose from a selection of pre-made avatars on Full Tilt Poker, there is something for everyone with a huge list to scroll through.
Gaming is also available on mobile devices, so you can multi-table on your phone/tablet too with up to 5 tables at once to be played on the iPad.
There is an extensive amount of cash games on Full Tilt, hands down the best site to be on if you like to play a mix of games. On offer, you will find micro stakes games starting at $0.01/$0.02 with games going all the way up to high stakes battlegrounds of $200/$400. There is every type of game imaginable running from the staples such as Hold’Em, Omaha and HORSE to the lesser played classics such as Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, Stud, 5 Card Draw, 2-7 Triple Draw. So if you want to learn games other than just the staple Hold’em and Omaha, this is the site for you. Although one negative is that the site doesn’t yet have 6+ Hold’em like it’s partner PokerStars.
Full Tilt Poker also offers ZOOM poker, where you will play in the same pool alongside PokerStars players. With one click of a button you can move on to the next hand within a select pool of players, so no more waiting around for minutes of a time whilst hands are completed, playing just one or two tables of ZOOM poker is great for players looking for some fast-paced action without having to play 20 tables.
I like to play Sit n Go Tournaments is Full Tilt Poker for me?
A great part of this software is the variety, this spans over all the game modes on the site and Sit n Go’s are no exception, you can play Heads up games, 6 max, 9 max at all speeds from Hyper turbos to Slow structures of Hold’Em, Omaha, No-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo and even Limit Hold Em. As well as this PokerStars offers many multi-table Sit n Go’s such as 18/27 man, all the way up to 180 man Sit n Go’s, all Buy in levels are catered for from micro stakes of $0.25 up to $5000 hyper turbos. One Sit n Go I would recommend is the $3.50 Rebuy Turbo 180 man, for a minimal investment and just a couple of hours you can bag yourself around $500 for taking one of these down.
Are there many Tournaments on offer?
One of the most exciting aspects of playing at Full Tilt Poker is the massive value tournaments that are on offer daily from games like the Hot $5.50 turbo which boasts a huge $12,000 guaranteed prize pool, all the way up to the High Roller $530 with a guarantee of $135,000. The biggest day for online poker tournaments is by far Sunday, when the guarantees for each game is inflated greatly, with games such as the $11 Sunday Storm which has a huge $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and the newly lower priced Sunday Million $109, with as you would imagine $1,000,000 guaranteed.
