Everest Poker was founded back in 2004, now owned by GigaMedia Limited and having been part of the iPoker Network since 2012, the second largest Poker network in the world today with over 6,000,000 customers on its books. The site has a good deal of traffic and offers many fun game modes, with something for everyone.
Software
As part of the iPoker network, the site offers an easily manageable poker client. With all the usual options you could expect to find games such as quick seating searches where players can simply click a Sit n Go or Cash game buy-in of their choice and they will be seated in the game immediately. All the table and card aesthetics are completely interchangeable, iPoker has come on leaps and bounds in how the card room looks in my opinion, these days there is very little setting them apart from the market leaders in the way of software. Downsides include no software for Mac/Linux users, some other skins on the network offer a HTML browser version of the client, however, this is not offered with Everest Poker at the moment. Cash Games
There’s a nice chunk of action with regards to cash games on the site, with Everest Poker offering Omaha, Hold’em and 6Plus Hold’em games of all variations including PLO8, FLH and many more. As with most sites, most of the action is in the No limit tables, with stakes being played all the way up to £5/£10. There are some innovative buy-ins on the site with games available with just 20bb stacks, so you can buy into a €3/€6 game for example with just €120, these short stack games make for great action games with players so short there can be all-ins nearly every hand, good for players that are comfortable with short stack strategy or just want to try and spin up some cash with a small risk. Stakes are in play from $0.01/$0.02 all the way up to $20/$40 in the limit games
Speed Poker
A good game for players that want a rush of action without having to multi-table, this is Everest Poker’s version of Fast-Fold poker, where as soon as you decided you don’t want to play the current hand anymore, you can just click fold and a new hand on a new table will be generated within that player pool. In this mode, you can fold your way to the most lucrative situations and biggest hands in seconds. Most of the action is in the low stakes with games from €0.02/€0.05 – €0.10/€0.20 running with the most players, although stakes do run up to €1/€2
Sit n Go’s
There are many Sit n Go’s on offer including all the game types you would expect to see such as super turbos, turbos, heads up, multi-table games. Most of the action is concentrated at the low stakes with games below €20 typically filling the most. However, the Heads up Sit n Go’s seem to get the most action with players sitting at tables willing to play for €5000 a game. So if you want to learn to play, there are some great low-level Sit n Go’s for you or on the other side of the coin, if you are a high stakes player and want to play for thousands there are games running around the clock.
Tournaments
So there isn’t a massive amount of traffic, but if you are looking to build a bankroll or looking for a new site to add into your roster of tournaments I can recommend these fields. With fewer players than the massive fields you would see on Major sites you are more likely to run deep and get wins and with good guarantees, overlays occurring and low-mid stakes games with daily €10,000 guarantees from just €50 there’s something here to suit everyone.
Six Plus Hold’em
First off! If you haven’t heard of Six Plus Hold’em yet, you are missing out, but to catch up on the next biggest game in poker check out our post about it HERE
If you are experienced with this action game, then iPoker’s offering may surprise you a little that it runs like a normal No limit game, with just small and big blind compared to other poker sites where everyone antes up every hand.
The next difference to be aware of is that in these games Three of a Kind beats a Straight, as well as the normal 6plus ranking of Flushes beating Full Houses.
There is a wealth of 6plus action on the iPoker network and boy is there some money to be made, with gamblers falling in love with nearly every hand dealt the pots are big on these tables. If you are looking to pick up a fun new game ahead of the curve I suggest you try your hand at this.
Jackpot Games
This is Everest Poker’s three-handed, short stacked, gamble heavy, Sit n Go offering.
Lucky players take away hundreds of thousands in these games, why not try and be one of them? With buy-ins to the progressive jackpot game from just €1!
Rakeback
Players can qualify for higher levels of Rakeback on the site in the Loyalty program simply by playing more, as higher reward levels are unlocked a larger point multiplier is unlocked with it, the highest multiplier is 1.8x for players that earn 18,000 summit points.
For every €1 in rake paid in either tournament fees or rake, players will earn 10 Summit Points. These can be traded in for cash or tickets with 100 points unlocking €1 in cash back for example.
Everest also holds a €2,000 freeroll for their top 50 players every month with the winner of that game getting an extra €500.
Deposits and Withdrawals
You can deposit with all the usual Credit/Debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron and Maestro, you may also use alternative methods such as Entropay, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, Ukash and Bank transfers. Unlike other sites minimum deposits on Everest Poker are from €5.
Summary
This Poker site can make a nice addition for new players with a nice amount of entry-level games on offer across the board with low stakes Sit n Go’s, Cash games and Tournaments on offer around the clock. There is a good amount of heads up Sit n Go traffic right up to the highest stakes so for any serious heads up players, you cannot miss out on downloading this software. The site also has some great cash game action including 6Plus hold’em, which is yet to be on many other major poker site’s. With great first deposit bonuses on offer, I would highly recommend giving this site a blast.
