After challenging DNegs to a HeadsUp4Rollz battle after his recent twitch stream outbursts, Negreanu has offered to play Doug at two tables of $200/$400 No Limit Hold’em.

Since then Doug has been getting ready to load up his truck with that DNegs money, we learn a little bit more about what he’s been doing to get ahead…

Doug Talks the Line

You can bet up to €200 on Doug at a huge favourite right now where you would stand to earn yourself €54… or you could bet €200 on DNegs and look to cash in €790 if he comes out on top!

These numbers just go to show how much of an underdog Daniel is in this match and personally I’d love to put a huge bet on this action, we can see why PokerShares has added a max bet to this one because they don’t mind DNeg fanboys taking their micro punts on him, however, they don’t want huge chunks of cash going on Doug in this spot, because millionaires would easily drop massive amounts on this bet.

Pulling the Trigger on Bets in 2020

There were some 20/1 bets released earlier this year that WSOP would be cancelled, which Doug managed to pile a bunch of money on but he admittedly didn’t go all out on that bet, even though he felt strongly he was getting the best of it, now as we see all the casinos in the world barely being open, the bet seems like it was just so obviously a win.

Re-Learning the Great Game

Play these days Doug says is at a better standard at the low stakes as High Stakes players were just a few years ago and has been getting pretty humbled.

Doug challenged anyone of his followers to play him at stakes of $2/$4 via twitter and has been a fair few players including a player that has been playing for just 18months that has been destroying him.
He shared his graph where he showed he is down around $10,000 over 10k hands at $2/$4 however he is confident that he will get his feel back and within one or two months he will sharp enough to get the job done.

Doug is looking to pick his weaknesses and plug his leaks against his range of opponents to come up with a game plan to destroy Negraunu in their match. Doug is completely dedicated to the match, he’s been waking up, playing and studying, eating well and then watching a show before bed and repeating this every day.

DNegs a DM Fish

Daniel Negreanu has confirmed that he will play Polk heads up, however, he is yet to actually reach out to him directly to settle the terms, apparently he lost the DM from Doug and has stated that once his WSOP run is over the two will play.

Daniel has taken to his own podcast that he holds with his friends where he’s been asked if you hate Doug Polk, why are you going to give him this huge spot and play him at his best game, Heads Up No Limit?! Daniel’s only answer was defending his honour and saying something along the lines of “OK you can call me out, but at some point, I’m going to say OK let’s just play”

New Course to Come

Not only is DNegs looking like he is really going to be in trouble, with Polk not playing the WSOP events, not on holiday in Mexico with his Girlfriend and not streaming and serving people up in his chat. He has all the time in the world to get in the lab and reconstruct his heads up game, aim to get it watertight and crush, however, is big plan is to turn this into his latest content for his training site.

The course is going to be called something along the lines of “How I crushed Daniel Negreanu”

Doug even took to the twitch streets and streamed live with his cards covered on ACR, interacting with his fans, however, he stated on the podcast with Joey that he can’t stream and pay full attention to his craft, therefore moving forward he will just be playing on his own.
